Questions about Powerwall
Are you a Tesla Powerwall Certified Installer?
Yes. We're Tesla Powerwall Certified Installers, so your Powerwall is designed, installed and commissioned to Tesla's requirements by the same local electricians who'll support it afterwards.
Should I get Powerwall 3 or Powerwall 3AC?
Powerwall 3 has a built-in solar inverter, so it's usually best when you're installing new solar and a battery together. Powerwall 3AC is designed to retrofit to an existing solar system without replacing your inverter. Both store 13.5 kWh, and we'll recommend one after a site visit.
Does Powerwall work in Canberra's cold winters?
Yes. Powerwall 3 is rated to operate from −20°C to 50°C, and Heat Mode uses active thermal management to keep it performing on frosty mornings.
Will Powerwall keep my power on in a blackout?
Yes, with a Tesla Gateway installed. Powerwall switches over automatically when the grid goes down and keeps your chosen circuits running. We'll talk through what to back up during the site visit.
Is there a rebate on Powerwall?
Yes. Powerwall is eligible for the federal Cheaper Home Batteries Program when it's connected to solar (new or existing). It takes around 30% off a typical home battery, and we handle the paperwork so it comes straight off your quote. You can also spread the cost with Brighte finance. See Rebates & finance.
